About the Client

Swiss Boutique is a 4-star boutique hotel located in the heart of Thimphu, just a short walk from Clock Tower Square. Born from the legacy of the city's beloved Swiss Bakery, the property carries forward a long tradition of warmth, flavor, and community — now reimagined through 36 thoughtfully designed rooms, an inviting in-house restaurant, and flexible meeting spaces. The hotel offers a refined blend of heritage and modern comfort, built on a foundation of genuine Bhutanese hospitality.

For a property of this calibre, technology isn't just a back-end concern — it's central to delivering the seamless, personal guest experience the brand is known for. That's where aBit came in.

 

The Brief

Swiss Boutique approached us with a comprehensive requirement: design and deploy the technology backbone of the entire hotel — from the cables in the walls to the software running the front desk. They needed a single, reliable partner who could handle every layer of the stack and deliver a setup that would scale with the property for years to come.

What We Delivered

We executed a full-scope, end-to-end deployment covering five critical systems:

1. Wired & Wi-Fi Networking Solution A structured cabling backbone paired with enterprise-grade Wi-Fi coverage across all guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces — engineered for fast, stable connectivity throughout the property. The internet is powered by Starlink and it's awesome. No guest complains on internet over wifi.

2. Telephone Systems & PABX A modern PABX setup connecting the front desk, restaurant, housekeeping, and guest rooms, enabling smooth internal communication and reliable guest-facing telephony.

3. Fire Alarm System A property-wide fire detection and alarm system built to safeguard guests, staff, and the building — installed and commissioned to meet the safety standards expected of a 4-star property.

4. Server Room & Computer Infrastructure A purpose-built server room with the supporting hardware and workstations needed to run hotel operations cleanly and securely.

5. Hotel Software — eZee PMS & POS Deployment of eZee's Property Management System and Point of Sale software, giving the team unified control over reservations, front-office operations, and restaurant billing — backed by aBit's local support.
