Bringing RKPO Resort Online and into the World's Booking Engines
A look at how aBit helped RKPO Green Resort go live on Booking.com, Agoda, and Expedia — and the early bookings that followed.

Tucked between the dzongkhags of Punakha and Wangduephodrang, RKPO Green Resort – Punakha, offers guests a rare view of the Punakha and the wide, glacial valley surrounding it. It is the kind of property that deserves to be discovered — but for many independent Bhutanese resorts, the challenge is not the experience they offer, it is the visibility they can achieve in a global travel market dominated by online booking platforms.
When RKPO Green Resort came on board through aBit's Digital Masterclass Program, that gap was exactly what we set out to close.
The Brief
The resort needed a structured digital presence on the platforms where international and regional travellers actually plan and book — Booking.com, Agoda, and Expedia. While the property was already well-known to returning guests and tour partners, it had limited inbound reach through OTAs (Online Travel Agencies). The goal was straightforward: get RKPO listed, configured, and converting on all three platforms, with the in-house team confident enough to manage day-to-day operations themselves.
What aBit Delivered
Our team worked closely with the resort's management to set up and verify listings across Booking.com, Agoda, and Expedia. The work covered property profile creation, room and rate configuration, content and imagery alignment, policy setup, and platform verification — followed by hands-on training so the RKPO team could manage inventory, respond to reservations, and adjust pricing without depending on external help.
The handover was supported by aBit's project lead, Ms. Somita Rai & Mr. Omnath, who remained the resort's point of contact through onboarding and the early weeks of going live. The support was backed by the backend team of more than 10 experts at the aBit HQ in Thimphu
Results — Within the First Few Weeks
The integration began producing results almost immediately. Within a short period of the listings going live, RKPO Green Resort had already secured:
- 5+ confirmed bookings through Booking.com
- 3 confirmed bookings through Agoda
- Increased visibility to international travellers searching the punakha & wangdue region
For a resort that was previously invisible on these platforms, those numbers represent a meaningful shift — not just in revenue, but in reach.
