aBit Partners with Bhutan ADR Centre for Website Development & Branding

aBit Private Limited is pleased to announce the signing of a Service Agreement with the Bhutan Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre (BADRC) for the development of its institutional website and a complete institutional brand identity.

The agreement was signed on 7th August 2026 at the Centre’s office in Thimphu, formalising a partnership that will give one of Bhutan’s key statutory institutions a digital presence and visual identity matched to its national and international role.

About BADRC

The Bhutan Alternative Dispute Resolution Centre is an independent statutory body established under the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act of Bhutan 2013. The Centre administers arbitration, mediation and negotiated settlement, providing businesses, government agencies, investors and individuals with a credible alternative to litigation.

As Bhutan’s commercial and investment landscape continues to grow, so does the importance of a dispute resolution framework that domestic and international parties can navigate with confidence. That is precisely the gap this project sets out to close.

Scope of the project

Institutional website

aBit will design and build an original, content-rich institutional website serving disputing parties, counsel, arbitrators, mediators, judges, government agencies, businesses, foreign investors, academics, media and the general public.

Core components include:

  • Institutional information — mandate, legal basis, governance, organisational structure, annual reports and institutional milestones
  • Arbitration services — commencement guidance, applicable rules, model clauses, fee schedules, forms and case administration information
  • Mediation and negotiated settlement — service overview, appointment process, rules, settlement and enforcement information
  • Panels and professionals — searchable, filterable profiles of accredited arbitrators and mediators
  • Rules and legislation — current and archived BADRC rules, the ADR Act and amendments, practice notes and guidelines
  • Cases and statistics — non-confidential aggregate caseload data approved for public release
  • Publications, news and events — reports, newsletters, research, training programmes, notices and archives
  • International cooperation — institutional partnerships, MoUs, memberships and regional engagement
  • Careers and procurement — vacancies, consultancy opportunities and tender notices

The site will be built on a role-based content management system so that authorised BADRC personnel can publish and manage content independently, without technical assistance.

Technical standards

The project is being delivered to institutional-grade standards:

  • Responsive performance across desktop, tablet and mobile
  • WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility principles, including keyboard navigation, alternative text and readable typography
  • Secure HTTPS deployment, role-based permissions, spam and bot protection, and daily automated backups
  • Technical SEO configuration, analytics and search console integration under BADRC-controlled accounts
  • Global site search, a document library with version control, and filtering across news, resources and panels
  • English at launch, with the architecture built to support future Dzongkha and additional language versions
  • An architecture that allows future modules — secure e-filing, party portals, online payment and case tracking — to be added without full redevelopment

Institutional branding

Running alongside the website, aBit will develop a full institutional brand identity for the Centre, reflecting its statutory character: neutrality, fairness, professionalism, Bhutanese heritage and international outlook.

Branding deliverables include multiple original logo concepts leading to one approved master mark, a complete set of logo variants, a corporate colour system with RGB, CMYK, HEX and Pantone references, a typography system, official stationery and templates, signage concepts, and a comprehensive Brand Identity Guide covering every application.

Training and handover

The engagement includes practical administrator training for BADRC personnel, a written CMS administrator guide, a full technical handover document, and complete transfer of source files, credentials and design assets to the Centre’s ownership — followed by a warranty period and a post-launch review.

A shared commitment

This project sits at the intersection of two things aBit cares about: building technology that is genuinely usable, and supporting Bhutanese institutions in presenting themselves with confidence at home and abroad. A dispute resolution centre earns trust through clarity, accessibility and consistency. Those are design problems as much as they are institutional ones.
