Karma Group’s journey began in 1969 as a small cottage industry in Phuentsholing, producing steel and wood furniture during Bhutan’s early phase of modernization. Founded by Dasho Passang Dorji, the company established a strong reputation by prioritizing quality over quantity, a principle that continues to define its operations. Over the past five decades, the group has grown into a diversified enterprise with interests in manufacturing, trading, mining, and agriculture-related ventures. It introduced Bhutan’s first animal feed production unit and expanded into multiple trading businesses and mineral extraction, including granite exports. Known for its pioneering approach, Karma Group has consistently contributed to economic growth, job creation, and sustainable development in Bhutan.
